WHAT TO EXPECT
Since your baby’s arrival will likely be unpredictable, I recommend getting your newborn session in the books 6-8 weeks prior to your due date. If your new bundle comes a little early or later than planned, I will find a way to rearrange my schedule to make sure you get those most precious moments captured!
Once you have put down a deposit & signed your photography agreement, your due date goes onto my calendar! Get in touch shortly after your baby arrives so we can prepare for your session. Newborn sessions usually take place during the week in the early morning or afternoon, lasting anything from 2-3 hours. I try to keep my scheduling as flexible as possible to work around you and your baby. . for more sleepy images we recommend attending your session when your little bundle is under 2 weeks of age.
Your gallery will be fully edited in my style and delivered within 2-3 weeks of your session.
Your studio newborn session is designed to be a beautifully relaxed, luxury experience, focused on connection, comfort, and timeless imagery. Everything is guided gently — there is no pressure for perfection 🤍
Below is a simple guide to help you prepare.
HOW TO PREPARE
Feeding & Flow
Keep your baby awake for approx. 1hour before your
photoshoot. This way they will be super sleepy when you arrive!
Try to feed your baby half an hour before your session. We have a feeding chair in our studio so don't worry if you don't have time!
Bring a dummy (if your baby uses one) Plenty of clean nappies & more formula/breastmilk than you think you will need! If nothing seems to be working to calm your bundle of joy, we will take a break, this is why we schedule in more time, so we can go with your babies flow!
We will capture photographs of your tiny bundle first so you can sit back and relax before its your turn to shine Infront of the camera. A small park is right on our doorstep so if Mum or Dad needs to keep other littles ones occupied for the first half of the session you can!

Styling Advice
Wear more neutral tones to create a softer more intimate feel to your photographs. A what to wear guide is provided in this welcome pack to help to dress your whole family.
Dress your baby in a white short sleeve vest with a baby grow over (weather dependant) so that if they are asleep when you arrive we can crack straight on without disturbing them (a little tip, avoid clothes going over their head as this is usually what wakes them up).
EXAMPLES OF WHAT TO WEAR
You are more then welcome to send over any outfit ideas if you need a second opinion!
We also have a selection of outfits & wraps that can be borrowed during your session as well as some cute headbands!
